Erika Gebhard, DVM, CVA, CCRT

PHYSICAL REHABILITATION

Dr. Erika Gebhard was born in the Lake Tahoe area and grew up in San Francisco. A Californian at heart, she earned her bachelors degree in Biology from University of California, Santa Cruz, and in 2004 completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.

During her education, Erika developed a passion for shelter medicine, preventive healthcare, and integrative medicine. To pursue these interests she went on to study veterinary acupuncture at the Chi Institute in Florida, as well as rehabilitation therapy at the Canine Rehabilitation Institute. Throughout her career as a rehabilitation specialist, Erika has worked with the San Francisco SPCA, Coastal Holistic Complimentary Veterinary Services, and continues to volunteer her time at Muttville Senior Dog Rescue in San Francisco. And in 2014 she joined Nor Cal Veterinary Emergency + Specialty Hospital as its Chief of Rehabilitation Services.

Erika lives in San Francisco with her husband, kids, dog, and cat, and is a supporter of family, education, and the environment. When not helping pets in the rehabilitation process or volunteering to help animals in need, Erika can be found jogging outdoors or watching action movies with her family in the calm confines of her home.
