Nicola Gillespie, DVM

Dr. Gillespie graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Animal Science and received her DVM degree from North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998.

While in veterinary school, she developed her interest in working with exotic animals and especially pet birds.

She continued her education with a small animal internship at a busy emergency and specialty practice in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Dr. Gillespie spent six years practicing small animal and exotic medicine in Connecticut until she felt the pull of California and headed to San Francisco. She has worked for the last nine years at All Pets Hospital and feels fortunate to be able to continue her work with exotic species.

Dr. Gillespie shares her home in the East Bay with her husband, two young children and a big orange tabby cat named Bubba. She enjoys cooking, reading, and music.
